Is Racial Profiling Justified - 642 Words

An argument if racial profiling is justified Would you put your brother, sister mother or any other family in jail if the fit the profile of a perpetrator who committed a crime and is profiled by race or ethnicity? This same question roams around the psyche of every person on who need to solve a crime. But the bigger question in regard for racial profiling if it is justified. Racial profiling cannot be justified as it attacks the very root of society on which they are built. Two key issues central for not justifying racial profiling is discrimination and lack of freedom. Also most people justified racial profiling as there is a reduction in terrorism activity. Discrimination is one of the major factors that racial profiling cannot be justified. As we can see how racial profiling causes people to distrust other races and blame them for their crimes. As seen by Tracy,T (2013,November 19.) NYPD stats: 70% of shooting suspects in first half of 2013 were black.
